Unique Tessiaga

As many of use huge Inuyasha fans know, that Tessiaga was one of the popular swords to appear in the series, from the fact how it's acutally (was) a fang from Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's father, to the unique shape it takes when Inuyasha draws it into battle right down to the techniques that it learns/absorbs.

Through out the series, Tessiaga continued to evolve to better suit it's owner with power and skills that he couldn't possibly accomplish due to his half heritage. While watching the series and the techniques Tessiaga got there were some I felt were overdoing it in ways.

* Kaze no Kizu (風の傷, lit. Scar of the Wind; "Wind Scar" in the English dub): Was of course the first main attack for Tessiaga as it can (allegedly) kill one hundred demons in a single strike. So overall, not a bad technique and quite powerful to those who knew how to handle the powers of it properly (ex. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha) and is mainly used attack in the series.

* Bakuryūha (爆流破, lit. Bursting Stream Blast; "Backlash Wave" in the English dub): Tessaiga's ōgi ("ultimate technique"). By catching his yokai opponent's yoki-based blasts with the Kaze no Kizu and striking the specific weak point, Inuyasha can reflect the attack back at his opponent with the added power of the Kaze no Kizu. Just to put in simple words, AWESOME TECHNIQUE as no one can escape it when Inuyasha uses it.

* Red Tessiaga: this form allows Tessaiga to cut through most holy and yoki-based barriers. Also a great technique that came in quite handy during Inuyasha's journey and add some more 'bad ass' class to the sword as well.

* Kongōsōha (金剛槍破, lit. Diamond Spear Blast; "Adamant Barrage" in the English dub): Attack gained from Housenki after Naraku had used the shard to make him fight Inuyasha, this technique fires a barrage of diamond shrapnel when Inuyasha swings the Tessaiga. Just from the way it was described in the series to break through stronger barriers, wouldn't it have made alot more sense to 'merge' with the Red Tessiaga technique instead of having to have two different forms, kinda like an upgrade?

* Dragon Scaled Tessiaga: ??? I have to be completely honest with you, even after reading about it and seeing it in the series. I still can't figure that technique out and find it to be very confusing.

* Black Tessiaga, Meidō Zangetsuha (冥道斬月波, Dark Path Cutting Moon Wave): Only a couple of words about this technique. HELL YEAH, BAD-ASS !!


These are just some of the few things as to how I feel about Tessiaga and I still like the sword and find it to be quite intriguing neverless, maybe one or two of the techniques weren't necessary for it as to point out again it felt like it was becoming a bit of an overload for it.
